Vadso

This morning we're visiting Vadso which was originally built on an island but moved to the mainland in 1500.

This airship mast was used by Umberto Nobile and Roald Amundsen for their expedition over the North Pole with the airship Norge in 1926. It was used again on Nobile's flight with the airship Italia in 1928.

The WWII German Bunkers just had to be explored.

Looking south east across the estuary - we're getting close to Russia now!
