Nusfjord

Today we're visiting Nusfjord which was the pilot project for the preservation of traditional buildings in Norway.

Nestling in a steep sided cove, most of the fisherman's hut and associated buildings are built on stilts clinging to the rocks.

Inside the Red Boathouse (most of them are red actually!)

Inside the store - a bizarre mix of old and new. There were locally produced cheeses and preserves next to a jar of Mango Chutney. The basket containing vacuum-packed dried fish had a lump hammer in it....

Boats and canoes for hire

An impressive looking jellyfish - we're seen quite a few of these around Norway
