Norsk Folkemuseum, Oslo

Today we're visiting the Norsk Folkemuseum which is a 10 min cycle ride from where we're staying in Oslo.
This is Europe's original and largest open-air museum which was created in1894. It contains over 150 buildings from across Norway.

Buildings from Gamlebyen, Christiania - the old town of Oslo

Inside the sweet shop - mmmmm

Where's Emma? Checking out the chocolate perhaps?

A petrol station from the 1920's. Fuel is cheap here so we're thinking about bringing Kiki to fill up tomorrow.

Traditional dancing from Telemark performed in front of traditional buildings from the area.

A grain store hut raised on pillars to keep out Mickey and Roland.

Dated around 1250 this is the oldest wooden building in the world.

There's a field growing on the roof of this house

The buildings are divided into little communities around the site, some even have the original village layout.

Traditional Stave church from 13th Century.
