The Oosterscheldekering Dam
The Oosterscheldering Dam took 13 years and 3.6 billion euros to construct. It has 62 sliding gates which are closed during heavy storms to protect Zeeland from the sea.
Our lunchtime stop just before crossing the dam. The rain has stopped and the sun is shining so out came the camp chairs and we ate outside with Kiki blocking the cold wind.
Crossing the Oosterscheldekering Dam to Schouwen Duiveland.
