Heading North

We had a quiet night, if you ignore the carload of yoofs who arrived at 1:30am playing rap music and talking loudly. Fortunately, after about an hour of being entertained by songs including the Jackson 5 and ELO they cleared off.

This morning we’re catching up with an old friend who I was on flotilla with 12 years ago. We spent a pleasant couple of hours reminiscing before heading back to Kiki for lunch.

After phoning the ranger to open the barrier, we drove to Tesco to top up our fuel.

Heading north for an hour or so we came to Nottingham. Our stopping place for the next couple of nights is the Starting Gate pub where we are parked in their car park. We had our evening meal and settled down for the evening.
