Puffing Billy

Today we've come to the Dandenongs which are a range of mountains to the east of Melbourne. We're going for a ride on Puffiing Billy which is a restored steam railway that runs for 24km from Belgrade to Gembrook. We'll only be going to Lakeside and back which is about halfway along the line and takes about 1hr.

Steam's Up! One of the "snorting" engines - beautifully restored and ready for the off.

The sign said don't stand on the window ledges - it didn't say anything about sitting - most people were hanging off the sides!

Menzies Creek - a brief stop halfway to Lakeside.

One of five dodgy looking trestle bridges along the route.

Climb aboard - if you dare!
