An early start today as we had a long drive ahead nearly to the top of Denmark.
After another day on the motorways we arrived at the "aire" which turned out to be a noisy motorway rest point with nothing more than a toilet emptying point!! Disappointed and not really in the mood for more driving, we reluctantly decided to carry on to Tars which was supposed to be a free aire behind a MH dealers.
Following the satnav directions, we left the motorway and turned left. We found this slightly strange because Tars was signposted to the right! Nevertheless we continued until we came to a narrow track which ended in someone's courtyard... There was no opportunity to turn round so we had to reverse 100m back to the road.
Having successfully extricated ourselves from the depths of rural Denmark we entered the road name instead of the GPS location into the satnav and headed back to the motorway roundabout to go the other way towards Tars.
Finally on arriving at the aire we discovered that they now charge €7/night but as we were shattered and it included free electricity we decided to stay. We wandered round the town, watched a couple of episodes of Spooks and went to bed. It was quite late but the sun was still shining!
We've driven 1066 miles from Devon and are very close to Fredrickshavn where we'll take the ferry to Sweden tomorrow night - the proper travelling starts here :-)

Wackendonk to Sittenson
Leaving Wackendonk it was straight back onto the motorway heading north east up through Germany towards Denmark. After another 200 miles driving we arrived at the aire in Sittenson where we were able to replenish our fresh water before spending the night in the company of around 20 other MH's.
The pretty mill at Sittenson - although it was "free wheeling" this was one of the fastest mill wheels we've ever seen.

Calais to Wackendonk
We woke up this morning in Calais and headed for Lidl and the Fuel Station to top up our supplies. We then drove through France, Belgium and the Netherlands into Germany where we stopped for the night in a free aire at Wackendonk.
It was 9pm and we were really tired when we arrived in Wackendonk so we had a quick walk round before bed.

Off We Go Again
We're finally back on the road again! Kiki's got two new tyres and a new clutch ready for our Scandinavian Adventure.
We left Devon around 09:30 and headed to Exeter where we filled our LPG cylinders and fuel tank before turning East towards Dover. After a long day's driving (with a few short breaks as you can't stop for more than 2hrs in a UK motorway services - how short sighted is that?) we arrived in Dover around 8pm and headed for the docks.
Our ferry wasn't until 22:45 so we had quite a long wait. Once we were aboard we found some comfy seats and got some rest.
Once in Calais we headed to our usual spot to spend the night. Unfortunately the parking area was heaving with MH's so we had a tight squeeze to fit Kiki in. Finally we managed it and settled down for the (rest of the) night.
